or any retail store, as long as the clothing meets our dress-code standards.

Parents are responsible to see that their children are dressed in the correct uniform when leaving home in the morning. Students out of uniform for any reason will be given an out of uniform notice and may be sent home to change. By registering their children at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School, parents indicate their intention to support and uphold the uniform code.

Students are to dress and groom themselves in a manner that is modest, clean and appropriate to a Catholic school academic environment. While parents and students have the primary responsibility for personal appearance, the administration is responsible for interpreting dress regulations.

Students are expected to adhere to the dress code while in the building during school hours. This means arriving to school in code and remaining in code throughout the day. In general, the dress code specifies that all students must wear attire that is clean and modest.  Our school colors are Navy Blue, light or powder blue and white.

The uniforms for boys consists of khaki or blue shorts/pants for boys with a navy/light blue or white polo shirt.  The shirts must be tucked in and a belt is recommended.  For Mass Dress, boys are required to wear a blue or white button down collared shirt with a neck tie.  Clip on ties and bow ties are also acceptable.  The ties must also be navy/light blue and/or white.  The ties may be plaid or striped so long as they do not include any other colors than our school colors.

The uniforms for girls consists of khaki or blue pants, shorts, skorts, skirts or jumpers with a navy/light blue or white polo shirt.  For Mass Dress, girls are required to wear either a khaki or blue skirt or jumper with a blouse.  During the winter time, girls are allowed to wear leggings provided that they adhere to our school colors and match the uniforms.  Girls are also REQUIRED to wear shorts under their skirts and dresses.  Furthermore, shorts, skorts, skirts and dresses must be at least knee length

Modesty is a very important virtue, rooted in Gospel Teachings, and which is often ignored in today’s society.  Modesty helps our children to learn what true beauty is and to respect their inherent dignity as children of God as well as the dignity of others.  It is important to the mission of our school that we teach and model the virtue of modesty to our students.

Spirit shirts may be worn on any day of the week, except for Thursdays.  Spirit shirts can be ordered online at http://www.spiritandpride.com/.  Our school ID for this site is 6825.
