The Extended Care Program at Father James B. Hay Catholic School provides children with a Catholic environment, extending our philosophy into the hours before and after school. This program serves the children of parents who work outside the home. There is a clear academic component, which includes homework time, as well as art, games, and activities. The program provides safety, care, supervision, and recreation.
Each student enrolled at FJBH is registered for Extended Care. Even if the service is not needed on a regular basis, enrollment in the school’s Extended Care Program will allow students to go to Extended Care in the event that the parent is delayed on any given day. An additional emergency information form will be required and sent home with your student for you to complete and return the first week of the new school year.
Extended Care charges will be posted to your FACTS account after month end. There is an hourly charge with adjustments for 2 or more children in a family. Information can be obtained from the school office.
Extended Care is offered mornings from 6:30 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. and afternoons from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Students who arrive on campus before 7:45 a.m. or are not picked up by 3:30 p.m. will be taken to Extended Care. Students who are on campus and not involved in a school sponsored supervised activity will also be taken to Extended Care.
Only students of Father James B. Hay Catholic School are allowed at Extended Care and must be in school uniform at all times.
